If you are trying to find the best deal on auto insurance, you need to do a price comparison from as many insurers as possible to make sure you are getting the lowest price.  In the old days, that used to take forever.  You would have to get out the yellow pages and search for all of the insurance agents in your area.  Then you would have to call each agent and probably make an appointment in order to get a quote.

Some insurance agencies will include "free" extras in the policy such as road side assistance or towing.  These services are not actually free, but they are included in the price being quoted.  Other companies will charge extra for these services, but the policies may actually be cheaper even if you add the extras.
